Trump Sinks Even Lower By Attacking Grieving Army Widow Myeshia Johnson

After the widow of La David Johnson, who was one of the Green Berets killed in an ISIS ambush in Niger, detailed her call with Trump on Good Morning America, the President Of The United States disputed her account of the call on Twitter.

Video of Myeshia Johnson:

Johnson described the call, “He goes on to say his statement as, what he said was he knew what he signed up for, but it hurts anyway. And I was, it made me cry because I was very angry at him the tone of his voice and how he said it. He couldn’t remember my husband’s name. The only way he remembered by husband’s name is because he told me he had my husband’s report in front of him, and that’s when he actually said it, La David. I heard him stumbling on trying to remember my husband’s name, and that’s what hurt me the most because if my husband is out here fighting for our country, and he risks his life for our country, why can’t you remember his name? And that’s what made me upset and cry even more.”

Johnson said she was very upset and hurt when she got off of the phone, and that Trump’s call made her cry even worse.

Instead of apologizing, Trump tried to argue with a grieving Arny widow:

With his tweet, the President confirmed everything that Johnson said about the call. His tone is not sympathetic and consoling. It is adversarial. Trump isn’t disputing the words that he used. He is taking issue with not knowing La David Johnson’s name, which means that Trump didn’t know his name.

The whole episode could have been resolved with an apology. The White House has refused to send Trump to memorial services in the past because they fear that he will make things worse. Trump won’t apologize and is demonstrating that just when you think he can’t sink any lower, he tries to attack and argue with an Army widow.

Forget being president; Trump isn’t fit to be a human being.
