Donald Trump used his press conference to beg Hillary Clinton to run again, and his pleas could lead to his presidential downfall.

Trump said, “I hope Hillary runs. Is she going to run again? Hillary, please run again.”
The President disagreed with Clinton on NFL players kneeling to protest police killings and the equal justice system, and then went on a rant about the differences between sitting, standing, and kneeling. Trump added, “There are a lot of reasons she didn’t win, including the fact that she was not good at what she did.”
Hillary Clinton was so “bad” as a candidate that she got 3 million more votes than Trump. Notice that Trump doesn’t mention one of the biggest factors in the 2016 election. The President likes to rewrite history by minimizing the Russian election interference.
Trump may have thought that he was slamming Hillary Clinton, but what his comments revealed was that he knows that he didn’t win based on his own strengths. Trump knows that he is not a legitimate president, and the worst mistake that he can make is to continue to live in 2016 while firing up Democrats and every American who didn’t vote for him in 2018 and 2020.
The opposition is already strong, and Trump’s own words are only giving Democrats more incentive to take him down.
