At a town hall in Iowa, Republican Sen. Joni Ernst admitted that it is unlikely that the Senate will vote on the Republican Graham-Cassidy healthcare bill.
Here is what Ernst had to say about Graham-Cassidy at a town hall event in Iowa:
It would be something if there were a political party and about 90% of the country calling for bipartisan fixes to the ACA. Oh wait, there already is. Republicans aren’t listening to what the American people want. The country does not want their garbage Obamacare repeal bills that take insurance away from people while doing away with consumer protections and raising premiums.
Senate Republicans are obsessed with voting on Obamacare repeal, so even if they don’t have the votes to pass it, no one should be shocked if they waste more time and go through another failed vote.
Obamacare repeal is close to death, but Republicans refuse to stop trying to give the country something that almost every citizen doesn’t want.
