Damning Evidence Against Trump As Russia Used Facebook To Organize Pro-Trump Rallies

The Russians weren’t just using Facebook to hurt Hillary Clinton with fake news. They also organized pro-Trump rallies in swing states like Florida.

The Daily Beast uncovered the first definitive evidence that the Russians were using Facebook explicitly to get Trump elected, “Suspected Russia propagandists on Facebook tried to organize more than a dozen pro-Trump rallies in Florida during last year’s election, The Daily Beast has learned. The demonstrations—at least one of which was promoted online by local pro-Trump activists— brought dozens of supporters together in real life. They appear to be the first case of Russian provocateurs successfully mobilizing Americans over Facebook in direct support of Donald Trump.”

The events were called “Florida Goes Trump,” and they illustrate how deeply involved the Russians were with getting Trump elected. The Russians organized “Miners for Trump” events in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. They staged a pro-Trump September 11 event in Manhattan. The Russians were disrupting democracy in swing states like Florida and Pennsylvania. Trump’s Electoral College margin of victory was roughly 80,000 votes in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

The conclusion is inescapable that the Russians were not just out to damage Hillary Clinton. They were trying to elect Trump. The President’s consistent refusal to criticize Russia suggests that this was not a one-sided effort. Trump’s obsession with shutting down the Russia investigation also lends itself to the suspicion that the Trump campaign was much more than unwitting beneficiaries of the Russian activities.

The Russians wanted to Trump to win, and they did everything possible to make sure that he won. Trump is an American president that was elected by Putin. As the details of the crimes committed against democracy unfold, the evidence is mounting that Donald Trump is not a legitimate president.
