Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is launching one final attack on Obamacare, and if he gets the support of one more Republican Senator, the bill to take healthcare away from 32 million will be voted on during the last week of September.
Politico reported:
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and his leadership team are seriously considering voting on a bill that would scale back the federal government’s role in the health care system and instead provide block grants to states, congressional and Trump administration sources said.
….
Right now, support for the bill — which would replace Obamacare’s tax subsidies with block grants, end the law’s individual insurance mandate and scale back its Medicaid expansion — among Republican senators is short of 50 votes. But McConnell and his lieutenants will gauge support this week in private party meetings with help from President Donald Trump, administration and Capitol Hill sources said.
Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump aren’t giving up on taking health care away from 32 million people and making health insurance more expensive for 130 million Americans with preexisting conditions. McConnell won’t bring the bill to the floor for a vote without 50 votes, which means that the time is now for every concerned American to call their Senator and tell them to vote no. Those who thought that the battle to save Obamacare ended during the summer were wrong.
Republicans are coming for health care, and they aren’t going to stop until they destroy 1/6th of the US economy, or the American people stand up and firmly tell them no.
