Trump Destroys Fox As Network Denies Colluding On False Story To Distract From Russia Scandal

Fox News is denying colluding with Trump on a fake news story to distract from the Russia scandal.

After a new federal lawsuit had accused Fox News and Trump of working together on a fake story about murdered DNC staffer Seth Rich , Fox responded with the following statement:

In a statement provided to PoliticusUSA by Fox News, Fox News President of News, Jay Wallace said, “The accusation that FoxNews.com published Malia Zimmerman’s story to help detract from coverage of the Russia collusion issue is completely erroneous. The retraction of this story is still being investigated internally and we have no evidence that Rod Wheeler was misquoted by Zimmerman. Additionally, FOX News vehemently denies the race discrimination claims in the lawsuit — the dispute between Zimmerman and Rod Wheeler has nothing to do with race.”

Fox News will always have their loyal conservative audience who believe that Fox is the only source of real truth in the media, but that audience is shrinking by the day, and the unpopularity of Trump is driving viewers away from Fox.

The network can’t survive on Trump and Trump alone.

If there is evidence that they did collude with Trump to distract from the Russia investigation, it will damage the network beyond repair with non-Trump fan former casual viewer that made Fox number one in the cable news ratings for more than a decade.

It is telling that the network is more concerned with the allegation that they colluded with Trump than being called racists. Racism gets rewarded in some circles of the far-right, but collusion with a White House would be the kill shot to Fox News’s journalism cover story.

Trump isn’t just destroying himself, his family business, and the Republican Party. The President is also taking down Fox News.
