Trump Reeling After Adam Schiff Moves To Get the House To Investigate Obstruction Of Justice

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is pushing for the House to investigate Trump for obstruction of justice as the news only gets worse for the President.

Politico reported:

“I think it needs to be part of the investigation,” Schiff said in an interview Thursday. “Congress has to get to the bottom of whether anybody is interfering or obstructing any investigation in any way.”

The California congressman said he is discussing the issue with Rep. Mike Conaway of Texas, who’s been the Republican leader of the investigation since House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) stepped away from the probe in April.

After the Senate Intelligence Committee leadership had said that they were going to leave the obstruction of justice investigation to the special counsel, it looked like Trump might have caught a break, but his nemesis Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is pushing the House Intelligence Committee where he serves as the ranking member to include obstruction of justice in the Russia investigation.

If Democrats take back the House, and Schiff becomes Chairman of the Intelligence Committee, Trump will be investigated for obstruction of justice. No one should be surprised if the Russia investigation is still going on next year. The Russia probe is complicated by numerous threads that must be untangled. Even if Trump resigned tomorrow, the Russia investigation would continue.

Adam Schiff has become the biggest congressional thorn in Donald Trump’s side. The former prosecutor is determined to get to the truth, and one of the worst nightmares that this president can imagine involves Rep. Schiff investigating him for obstruction of justice.
