Asked Friday at the White House briefing if President Trump was out of control, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer dismissed the question by calling it offensive.
Watch here:
The question was asked because Friday morning, a former FBI official said Trump “is out of control” based on President Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey.
“[Trump] is out of control,” the former official continued, adding that what the president has done “goes against core American values.”
Spicer says what Trump most wants him to say. That seems to be his job.
The question regarding whether or not Trump is out of control is legitimate. Donald Trump threatened James Comey this morning on Twitter. Spicer wouldn’t deny that Trump was recording people in the Oval office.
Spicer called it “offensive”, which is to say it bothers Trump to be asked if his behavior is out of control. But the question is pertinent. It is vital.
Donald Trump is the president of the United States. His state of mind and his behavior being out of control is everyone’s business.
