According to Gallup, most Americans no longer believes Donald Trump keeps his promises. Yes, it took awhile, but Americans have finally woken up to the reality of their liar-in-chief.
According to Gallup, 62 percent of Americans felt Trump kept his promises in February. Now, just two months later in April, that number is down to 45 percent, just north of his approval rating according to Gallup (40 percent).
Trump also lost ground on what Gallup calls “five other key characteristics”:
President Donald Trump’s image among Americans as someone who keeps his promises has faded in the first two months of his presidency, falling from 62% in February to 45%. The public is also less likely to see him as a “strong and decisive leader,” as someone who “can bring about the changes this country needs” or as “honest and trustworthy.”

Donald Trump’s showmanship on the world stage cannot stave off the inevitable consequences of his failure as president. Sleight of hand will get you only so far, and Democrats, Independents, even Republicans are feeling the disillusionment with the Trump swamp.
