Sean Spicer Screws Up And Lets Everyone Know People Will Be Losing Coverage Under TrumpCare

Last updated on September 25th, 2023 at 08:44 pm

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer tried to claim Wednesday that it doesn’t matter how many people will be covered under TrumpCare, that “is not the question.”

Oh?

Video of Spicer:

Spicer said, in a weird rant that proved he knows nothing about not having insurance, that a lot of people have cards under Obamacare, but get no care. Thus, the real question is, “How many people are going to get the care they need?”

This literally is not true, and of course Obamacare put regulations on insurance companies to insure that people got care. Those regulations are nowhere to be found under TrumpCare. People had cards that didn’t work BEFORE Obamacare, back when insurance companies could take our money and then decide not to provide the coverage we paid for when we got sick.

Now why would Republicans be afraid to discuss exactly how many people will be covered. Could it be that this is one of the reasons they won’t let the CBO, which is directed by a Republican chosen leader, score their “plan”?

Leader Nancy Pelosi suspects it’s because millions will lose coverage under TrumpCare.

Of course that’s awkward because Donald Trump promised, “I am going to take care of everybody…everybody’s going to be taken care of, much better than they’re taken care of now.”

Watch Trump promise that the government would pay for everyone because he was going to make such good deals:

And yet Ways and Means Republicans just refused to vote on amendment requiring a Congressional Budget Office (CBO) score of TrumpCare to be made public for at least 7 days before a vote on the bill the House. And Ways and Means Republicans refused to vote on amendment for TrumpCare that would have certified that it met President Trump’s promise to cover everybody presented by Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR).

Republicans ran on one thing but they are doing another.

Before the election, everyone was going to be covered. Now they tell us how many people isn’t the question. Now they’re pretending the issue is care, as if people weren’t getting care under Obamacare rules and regulations. This is a false assertion in an attempt to move the goal posts from Trump’s campaign promise to thin air.

“I am going to take care of everybody…everybody’s going to be taken care of, much better than they’re taken care of now” and “the government will pay for it” was just more ignorant Trump bluster.

If you’re one of those people who aren’t the question, good luck.
