As Poll Shows Majority Want Jeff Sessions To Resign, He’s Nailed For Third Russia Contact

After a poll came out Wednesday showing that a majority of voters say Attorney General Jeff Sessions should resign because they believe he lied under oath about his meetings with a Russian ambassador, oops, he did it again — there was that one other time!

A Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday revealed that 51% of voters think Sessions should resign, versus 42% who say he should stay on. 52 – 40 percent think Sessions lied under oath during his confirmation hearings about his contact with the Russian ambassador.

Senator Al Franken accused Sessions of perjuring himself after Sessions perjured himself.

But hang on because gosh darn it, it’s just hard to remember all of those Russian meetings when you’re a person implicated in Russian contacts with the Trump campaign during a time when the Russians were actively working to help Trump get elected.

Noting that Sessions just revised his inaccurate Senate testimony to reflect that he actually did meet with that Russian Ambassador twice, Huffington Post reports there was that third time. “Sessions appears to have left out a third instance in which they crossed paths. In April of 2016, Sessions attended a VIP reception at a hotel in Washington, D.C., with President Donald Trump and roughly two dozen guests, including four ambassadors. One of them was Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. The cocktail meet-and-greet took place in a private room at the Mayflower Hotel near the White House.”

Oh, so April huh? Nothing to see here.

Just a third contact that was forgotten by someone who is implicated directly in the Trump Russia scandal, but thought he should oversee it still and will still be the boss of the person overseeing it, because Republicans don’t see a need for a special prosecutor. After all, it’s just our country.
