Trump Wastes Millions More Taxpayer Dollars On Second Florida Vacation In 2 Weeks

Last updated on July 17th, 2023 at 09:58 pm

Less than a week after running a $3 million bill that taxpayers will need to pay for his vacation in Florida, President Trump used a visit by Japanese PM Abe as an excuse to spend millions of more taxpayer dollars on another Florida vacation.

Here is how the White House described the trip in guidance provided to PoliticusUSA, “Later in the afternoon, the President will depart the White House for Joint Base Andrews en route to West Palm Beach, Florida. In the evening, the President will have dinner with First Lady Melania Trump, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe, and Mrs. Abe.”

Trump is taking Abe to his private club Mar-a-Lago. The two will also be playing golf all on the dime of US taxpayers.

None of this would be so outrageous if Trump had not just gotten back from a vacation that is estimated to have cost taxpayers $3 million. The majority of Americans didn’t vote for Trump, but the President is sticking every American with the bill for his jaunts to Florida.

After being criticized for the number of vacations that President George W. Bush was taking, his White House began disguising his many trips back to his ranch in Crawford, TX by sprinkling some political cover day events into his vacations

Trump has blown the George W. Bush standard out of the water by taking a foreign leader to his private resort for dinner and golf on the taxpayers’ dime. It would be much cheaper for Trump to take Abe to Camp David, but this president appears to have no concerns over wasting taxpayer money.

President Trump can’t work a week without needing a vacation, and the worst part about it that the American people are footing the bill.
