Disaster Looms For GOP As 35% Of Americans Have No Idea Trump Is About To Gut Their Health Care

The political implications of 35% of Americans not knowing that Obamacare and the ACA are the same things will be a complete disaster for Republicans after people realize that Trump has demolished their health insurance.

A new Morning Consult poll found that a sizable number of Americans don’t realize that Obamacare and the ACA are the same law:

In the survey, 35 percent of respondents said either they thought Obamacare and the Affordable Care Act were different policies (17 percent) or didn’t know if they were the same or different (18 percent). This confusion was more pronounced among people 18 to 29 and those who earn less than $50,000 — two groups that could be significantly affected by repeal.

Among Republicans, a higher percentage (72 percent) said they knew Obamacare, and the A.C.A. were the same, which may reflect the party’s longstanding hostility to the law.

While it is not a surprise that Republicans who have been brainwashed by years of both their party and conservative media lying to them about Obamacare would think that the ACA and Obamacare are the same things these individuals are going to be in for a big shock after the celebrate Obamacare repeal and find out that their insurance is either gone or a lot more expensive and covering less than it did before.

The reason why Republicans are so scared of repealing the ACA/Obamacare is once the law is gone, the house of cards that they built is going to tumble down on top of them. Republicans have no Obamacare replacement because the ACA was originally a conservative idea. Republicans know that nothing that they could come up with will function as well as the current law, so they are going to be blamed when people lose their health care.

During his Super Bowl interview, President Trump said that the White House might not have an Obamacare replacement plan until next year. The problem is that Congressional Republicans are looking at repealing the ACA/Obamacare at the end of March 2017.

Millions of Americans are going to lose their health insurance, and everyone else is going to see their premiums skyrocket, and insurance plans cover less.

The Obamacare/ACA repeal is a ticking political time bomb that will be a total disaster for the Republican Party.
