Want To Boycott Trump While Christmas Shopping? There’s An App For That

Last updated on July 17th, 2023 at 09:35 pm

A new app allows consumers to boycott the 250 companies that have connections to Donald Trump while they do their Christmas shopping.

The Democratic Coalition Against Trump detailed their app in a statement, “The Democratic Coalition Against Trump announced the release of an official “Boycott Trump” app. The free app allows users to easily access and search through a database of over 250 businesses to see their connection to Trump. Businesses on the list include dozens of name brands like MillerCoors, whose former chairman Pete Coors endorsed Donald Trump , and Macy’s, which sells Ivanka Trump’s clothing line. Boycott Trump is available for free in the app store and compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Since its early release on Monday of this week, the app has received over 5,600 downloads. An Android version of the app will be available for download early next week.”

The Boycott Trump app can be downloaded for Apple devices here.

Nate Lerner, Executive Director of the coalition said, “The election may be over, but the fight against Trump has just begun. Our Boycott Trump app enables people to take action against Trump by turning their purchasing power into a tool for protest. This hits Trump and his allies where it hurts them most – their wallets – and comes just in time for Black Friday and the holiday shopping craze.”

President-elect Trump has refused all requests that he follows traditional ethical protocols that safeguard against presidents using the power of their office for personal gain and family enrichment. Trump has gone so far as to state that it is not possible for the president to have a conflict of interest.
However, there is one thing that the majority of voters who supported Hillary Clinton can do. They can vote with their wallets and refuse to give any Trump-related businesses their hard-earned money this holiday season.

Retailers need to know that doing business with Donald Trump and his family will hurt their bottom line during the critical make or break holiday shopping season.

Those who cast their vote for Hillary Clinton can keep fighting by downloading the app, and sure that companies that do business with Trump a very un-Merry Christmas.
