Great News For Democrats As Republicans Trail In National Early Voting By Six Points

A poll of early voters nationwide conducted by Politico/Morning Consult found that Democrats are more motivated and they are early voting or voting by mail in larger numbers than Republicans and Independents.

According to Morning Consult:
Over the past three weeks, we polled 2,263 people who say they have already voted by mail or in person. We found that Democrats are showing up at a higher rate (six points higher) than the likely voter population in our last election poll, while independent voters are five points lower. Those differences suggest more Democrats are getting their ballots in early, while independent voters are hanging back. Republicans’ early voting numbers virtually match the likely voter population.

We also found older voters are turning out early, making up 28 percent of the early voter group, versus 22 percent in our last likely voter poll. There are also potentially more Hispanic voters, with 12 percent showing up versus the 8 percent we saw in our last likely voter poll.

Clinton also was trusted more than Trump by early voters on issues ranging from the environment to terrorism.

The 2016 election may end up going down in history as a base election. If this is the case, Hillary Clinton is doing a much better job of getting Democrats out to vote than Trump is doing getting Republicans to the polls.

The Clinton campaign built their entire operation on the assumption that they would need to get out the Democratic vote. During the Democratic primary, supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders kept pointing to the size of the crowds at his rallies and mocking Hillary Clinton for holding more targeted events in smaller venues, but there was a method to the Clinton campaign’s madness. They have used smaller venues to target and mobilize key groups of voters.

Donald Trump has made the same mistake. Trump ignored voter mobilization until it was too late. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton may have won Nevada and Florida before election day with a powerful and precise early voting operation.

Democrats are getting their early voters out, which means that out funded and out organized Republicans will have a tougher hill to climb on election day.

Hillary Clinton had a plan, and it has been executed to perfection. The next step is for the Clinton campaign to use their get out the vote machine to get Democrats to the polls on Tuesday. If they do their jobs well, Hillary Clinton is likely to be the next President Of The United States.
