Preparing For Loss, Trump Campaign Launches Nightly ‘News’ Show On Facebook

The Trump campaign is apparently preparing for a big loss come November and is beginning to set in motion a media organization that will outlast his collapsing presidential campaign.

According to a report by Wired, the Republican nominee’s campaign is launching what will be a nightly “news” program, which aired starting at 6:30 p.m. ET on Donald Trump’s Facebook page. It’s filmed from Trump tower.

The report:

Tonight, the Trump campaign is kicking off a show that will air on the candidate’s Facebook page every night at 6:30 pm ET via Facebook Live from the campaign war room at Trump Tower. The show will be hosted by Boris Epshteyn, a senior adviser to the campaign, Tomi Lahren, a conservative commentator for Glen Beck’s The Blaze, and Cliff Sims, another Trump adviser. In tonight’s inaugural episode they will interview Trump campaign manager KellyAnne Conway and adviser Jason Miller.

The series, which will stream Trump’s rallies directly each night and feature pre-and post-event commentary, comes on the heels of the campaign’s debate night Facebook Live last week, which brought in more than 9 million views.

The campaign insists that the new show is simply a way to avoid the “liberal media.”

“We all know how strong the left wing media bias is. This is us delivering our message to voters,” Senior Trump adviser Boris Epshteyn said, according to Wired. “It has nothing to do with Trump TV.”

The timing, however, suggests that Team Trump is beginning to recognize how dire things are, and they’re quickly planning for what comes after Nov. 8.

While it’s being billed as a news program, the lineup of hosts – Esphteyn, Tomi Lahren, and Cliff Sims – indicates that it’s simply a propaganda arm for Trump to spew his nonsense without being held back by facts or tough questioning.

While Trump continues to lag far behind Hillary Clinton in the polls and early voting numbers favor the Democrats in many swing states, tonight may mark the unofficial end of the Republican nominee’s campaign and the beginning of Trump TV.
