President Obama Destroys Darrell Issa for Pretending to Have Worked With Him on Issues

President Barack Obama laid into Darrell Issa’s attempt to campaign as somebody who cooperated with Obama on the issues, actually having the audacity to send out brochures with Obama’s photo on them. Speaking at a fundraiser in La Jolla, California, Obama demolished what he called Issa’s “chutzpah,” stating that,

“[Darrell] Issa’s primary contribution to the United States Congress has been to obstruct and to waste taxpayer dollar on trumped-up investigations that have led to nowhere.”

Issa was made to look the fool he is by way of the president’s signature, scathing wit:

[Darrell] Issa’s primary contribution to the United States Congress has been to obstruct and to waste taxpayer dollar on trumped-up investigations that have led to nowhere. And this is now a guy who, because poll numbers are bad, has sent out brochures with my picture on them touting his cooperation on issues with me. Now, that is the definition of chutzpah. Here’s a guy who called my administration perhaps the most corrupt in history – despite the fact that actually, we have not had a major scandal in my administration – that, when Trump was suggesting I wasn’t even born here, said, well, I don’t know, was not sure…This guy has spent all his time simply trying to obstruct, to feed the same sentiments that resulted in Donald Trump becoming their nominee. I think somebody called Darrell Issa – was this you, Doug, who said Darrell Issa was Trump before Trump? And now he’s sending out brochures touching his cooperation with me. Now that is shameless. To his credit, I will say that he has been very pleasant to me at our Christmas parties.

Obama is right. Issa is in real trouble thanks to his association with Donald Trump. Remember, he spent 7 years lying about Obama, and now he wants to pretend, because of Trump’s toxicity, that he has been some kind of Obama supporter.

Issa showed not an ounce of shame in responding to Obama’s comments, claiming,

“I’m disappointed but not surprised that the president in a political speech continues to deny accountability for the serious scandals that happened under his watch where Americans died overseas and veterans have died here at home.”

According to Issa, who is as out of touch with reality as Trump,

“You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who thinks I’ve done too much to hold Washington accountable. I’ve worked with the administration on good legislation where it was possible, and called out wrongdoing wherever I saw it, and will continue to do so.”

The list of Darrell Issa’s attacks on President Obama is a long one, and each lie seems worse than the last. He really was Trump before Trump, and there was literally no lie too big for him to tell. Now he is getting his comeuppance as reality rears up to bite him in the backside. And President Obama just made sure everybody knows it.
