Hillary Clinton Is Now Tied With Trump Indiana As GOP Devastation Worsens

Republicans thought that it couldn’t get worse, but it has. According to an internal Republican poll of Indiana, Hillary Clinton is tied with Donald Trump in the home state of his running mate, Gov. Mike Pence.

John Harwood of CNBC tweeted about the unfolding Republican devastation:

Election followers can add Indiana to the growing list of red states that Trump may lose in November. Indiana, Texas, Georgia, Arizona, and Utah are top five red states in peril.

An Indiana defeat would be more humiliating for the Republican Party because it is the home state of the sitting governor, who is also Donald Trump’s running mate, Mike Pence. The collapse of the Republican Party that was anticipated after presidential election year losses in 2008 and 2012 appears to finally be happening in 2016.

The burn it down faction of right-wing extremists that have been waging a years-long bitter civil war with the party leadership finally won when Trump clinched the Republican nomination, and the result has been an absolute disaster for the Republican Party.

Indicators are suggesting that Republican turnout could be depressed. If GOP turnout drops, while Trump is getting crushed in the polls, Republicans can kiss the Senate goodbye and probably a substantial number of House seats.

The Republican Party isn’t just losing an election. The GOP is losing most of the country.
