Hillary Clinton Is Quietly Marching An Army Of Democratic Voters To The Polls

One chart from Pew Research has revealed something very interesting about the 2016 presidential election. Hillary Clinton is very quietly mobilizing and marching an army of Democratic voters to the polls.

Pew Research asked voters about how they have been contacted by the Clinton and Trump campaigns:

As the Obama campaign demonstrated in 2008 and 2012, one on one live contact between a representative from the campaign and the voter is the best method for getting supporters to the polls to vote. Hillary Clinton is crushing Donald Trump in this metric 62%-14%. Clinton is also dominating Trump when it comes to reaching out to voters by text message (51%-23%), and live phone calls (41%-30%)

Trump is reaching out to his voters in the same way that a company would try to attract customers to time share. Trump is using taped robocalls. The problem with robocalls is that they lack the human personal contact element that is most effective in mobilizing supporters.

The Republican nominee is using tactics like robocalls because they are cheap, and don’t require a campaign operation to run.

Hillary Clinton has a formidable campaign operation. Donald Trump has chosen not to build a get out the vote campaign organization, and the difference between the two candidates is showing in their efforts to target and mobilize their supporters.

Clinton understands something that Trump doesn’t. Big rallies don’t translate into voter turnout. By design, the Clinton campaign has held smaller events that directly target voters. It appears that the strategy is working, as Hillary Clinton is routing Donald Trump on the ground, and mobilizing an army of Democratic voters to support her through early voting and election day.
