The pressure seems to be getting to Donald Trump as the Republican candidate for president launched into a strange attack on Sen. Bernie Sanders less than a day after his 1995 tax return became public.
Sen. Bernie Sanders responded to a story being pushed by the Trump campaign and Republicans that Hillary Clinton disparaged his supporters by pointing out that Clinton is sympathizing with the plight of his young supporters, and agreeing with her comments.
Trump reacted by tweeting:
It is obvious that his bad debate performance combined with his attack on a former Miss Universe, and the release of one year of his tax returns has pushed Trump to the brink.
Trump attacked Bernie Sanders because the Senator from Vermont went on national television and told the truth about Hillary Clinton’s comments. Donald Trump expected Sen. Sanders to take back his endorsement of Clinton and tell his supporters to vote Trump.
Sen. Sanders is an honest person who told the truth. Since Trump seems both unfamiliar with and incapable of honesty, Sanders’s actions set the GOP nominee off.
