Here’s the Proof that Donald Trump is Copying Richard Nixon

When Donald Trump claimed he was the law and order candidate , he pulled right from Nixon.

Donald Trump is pulling straight from the Nixon playbook. In 1968, Nixon tried to explain that when he said “law and order”, it wasn’t a code for racism. In other words, even in 1968 people saw through the dog whistle:

And to those who say that law and order is the code word for racism, there and here is a reply:

Our goal is justice for every American. If we are to have respect for law in America, we must have laws that deserve respect.

Cut to 2016 and the Republicans are now running a less competent Nixon, but with the same dog whistles.

Emulating the disgraced Richard Nixon’s message but with less intelligence, some 48 years later? Winning.
