Donald Trump’s former campaign manager and now CNN “commentator” worked hard for his money this morning on CNN, blaming the backlash to Trump’s usage of the Star of David as “political correctness run amok”.
Lewandowski, who signed a Trump Non-disclosure agreement that includes a non-disparagement clause, defended Donald Trump using a Star of David attack on Hillary Clinton that originated from a neo-Nazi site.

From CNN:
“A tweet is a simple tweet, and the bottom line is you can read into things that are not there. You know, this is a simple star,” Lewandowski said.
He said it’s “the same star that sheriff’s departments all over the place” use for their badges.
To read into something that isn’t there is — you know what, again, I think that’s the mainstream media trying to attack Donald Trump for something that isn’t there,” he said.
Lewandowski added that criticism of the star is “political correctness run amok.”
CNN’s Brianna Keilar pointed out that in fact the star was not just a star, it was a 6 pointed star. A “simple” star is five points.
It is not “political correctness run amok” to criticize a campaign for an image that is so offensive it was no surprise that it was taken from a Neo-Nazi site.
The fact that CNN let Trump’s former campaign manager defend this outrageously offensive image is a stunning breach of ethics.
Corey Lewandwoski will clearly say anything to defend Donald Trump. Whining about political correctness instead of listening the objections of people who have every reason to be offended by the usage says a lot about Lewandowski and the Trump campaign.
Lewandwoski’s lame defense sounded more like a Trump campaign talking point than legitimate commentary.
Corey was just spotted at a Trump event, attending in what appeared to be a personal capacity as he was sockless and wore shorts.
Donald Trump tweeted an image from a white supremacist message board. How did he or his campaign find this image? It wasn’t a retweet. Is the Trump campaign or Donald Trump himself hanging out on Neo-Nazi boards?
The KKK feels emboldened by Trump’s message.
It could not be any clearer. Donald Trump is using the ugliest appeal to racism he can find and there isn’t anyone who is safe, except rich, white, Christian males. But no worries, Trump has a product placement plant at CNN to spin his talking points under the guise of legitimate analysis.
