Trump Throws A Tantrum And Threatens Not To Campaign For Republicans

At a rally in Tampa, FL seemingly upset over his lack of endorsements; Donald Trump threatened not to campaign for Republicans.

Video:

Trump said:

The Republican Party has to be tough, has to be smart, and if they’re not tough and smart, I’m going to win, but a lot of other people won’t. I’m telling you that’s what’s going to happen. We have a couple of senators, we don’t want to endorse Trump. That’s ok. I don’t care. If they don’t endorse me, that’s fine. I’m not going to campaign. I have one or two states where I’m leading in the state, and they’re doing poorly, and they don’t want to endorse me, and I’m saying what the hell are they doing? What are they doing? And I don’t care, but we could have a case where I win, and many others don’t.

If it didn’t bother him that Republicans aren’t endorsing him, why did Trump bring it up? Of course, it bothers Trump.

Hillary Clinton is piling up big endorsement every day, while Donald Trump can’t even get the endorsement of Don King.

There is a very real possibility that the Republican Party will run two campaigns this fall. Donald Trump will be left alone to run his presidential campaign, while Republican members of Congress run a separate campaign that will distance itself from Trump in an attempt to save their seats.

Trump made at least three references to not campaigning in his speech. Earlier this week, Trump told Republicans that he planned to win the White House by doing lots of interviews.

It is clear that Donald Trump is lazy, and doesn’t want to put in the work that is required to win a presidential election.

Threats have been Trump’s most effective weapon against the Republican Party. It could be argued that Trump’s threat to run as an Independent is what made Republicans hand him their nomination. Trump is trying to make Republicans support him, and the result could be a total victory for Democrats in November.
