Trump Shows You Can’t Teach An Old Bigot New Tricks By Bashing Clinton For Being A Woman

Days after his campaign unveiled the new presidential Trump, Donald Trump has proven you can teach an old bigot new tricks by bashing Hillary Clinton for being a woman.

Reuters reported:

“I can tell you that if I go too presidential, people are going to be very bored,” the New York real estate baron told Fox News in an interview that will air on Saturday. He added that he worried his supporters would “fall asleep.”

He went on to say that Clinton “is a person who’s got many, many flaws” and that she’s “the worst possible representative a woman can have,” as he shifted his focus away from Republican rivals and toward the Nov. 8 presidential election.

The only thing she’s got going is the women card,” Trump said in the excerpts released by the network on Friday. “We call her ‘Crooked Hillary’ because she’s a crooked person. She’s always been a crooked person.”

With those comments, the attempt to remake Donald Trump into a serious presidential candidate are officially dead. Trump did give the country of how he plans to run in the fall against Clinton, and his plan is to downplay the qualifications of the most experienced person to run for the office in the modern era of presidential politics, while reminding the country that they shouldn’t vote for Hillary Clinton because she is a woman.

The Clinton campaign responded to Trump’s latest laughable insult by repeating their pledge not to respond to Trump’s sexism and childish taunts. Donald Trump is never going to be the embodiment of presidential character. Republicans would have better luck trying to teach a cat to presidential than trying to sell Donald Trump as anything more than living cartoon that he is.

Calling Hillary Clinton crooked Hillary and attacking her gender is not going to work. Sexism has cost Republicans several federal elections. If Donald Trump goes down this path, Democrats will romp to victory in November.
