Bernie Sanders Is On A Roll As Supporters Give $4 Million In Less Than Two Days

Bernie Sanders’ campaign manager Jeff Weaver announced during a press call with reporters that supporters have donated 4 million in less than two days.

Weaver said, “Since the election on Saturday, we have our grassroots funding has been tremendously strong taking in $4 million since our victories in Alaska, Washington, and Hawaii. Hawaii which happens to be the most diverse state in the country. This will give us the resources to compete in Wisconsin, where the Senator is spending a tremendous amount of time, and we’ve seen in other states, like Michigan for instance, when the Senator spends a tremendous amount of time in a state he has the ability to bring his message and being such a strong messenger for that message to move large numbers of people in his direction. So he is spending a lot of time in Wisconsin, we’ll have the resources to compete there in an extremely effective and serious way.”

The Sanders campaign is in this race for the long haul. What the Sanders campaign is accomplishing is very impressive, and none of it would be possible without the support of the millions of Americans who are donating $27 a pop to the Sanders campaign.

Bernie Sanders has successfully built a grassroots political machine that will have the ability to influence policy, even if Sen. Sanders does not win the Democratic nomination. Sanders is accomplishing something greater than winning a presidential nomination. He has mobilized millions of Americans to give the government back to ordinary Americans.

Winning a presidential nomination is the easy part. Trying to change American politics from the ground up with a grassroots political revolution is a much more difficult task. Bernie Sanders has come closer to leading a real grassroots effort for change than any social or political figure since the 1960s.

The Sanders campaign would have faded away long ago with the millions of people who have fought back and given what they could because they believe that the current corrupt campaign finance system has got to change.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is the messenger, but it the millions of small donors who are essential to the political revolution.
