In a slap in the face to the liberal audience and the network that employs him, Joe Scarborough gave Chris Christie airtime to attack MSNBC.
Video:
When asked about his declining poll numbers, Christie blamed media, specifically, MSNBC:
How about nightly specials on this network for five like months calling me Attila the Hun? How about relentless attacks from The New York Times, the media? Then you also wind deciding to run for president, and when you do that inside your own state you see it with Scott Walker, you see it with Bobby Jindal. When you do it inside your state, the people of your state go, oh you’re leaving us? You don’t care about as much, and your numbers go down.
Each one of the governors whose running, the numbers are down in their states. It will cycle back up. After I’m the nominee, it will cycle back up.
MSNBC’s insistence on elevating Joe Scarborough is one of the main reasons why viewers have abandoned the network. Scarborough’s yuck fest with Christie was disgraceful.
Even worse, the Morning Joe crew sat silently by while Christie attacked MSNBC’s accurate coverage of Bridgegate. Chris Christie is living in a dream world if he really believes that the media is why his poll numbers are down. Christie numbers are in the gutter because he has been a lousy governor.
Bobby Jindal and Scott Walker’s poll numbers stink in their home states because they have been bad for their states. Christie’s theory about voters being mad when a home state governor runs for president is a load of baloney that is back up by zero research.
Joe Scarborough is one of the main reasons why MSNBC is sinking. It speaks volumes about the people running the network that they would allow Scarborough to insult the people who are writing his paychecks.
Roger Ailes would never let a host laugh off an attack on Fox News. Scarborough is a disgrace, and if MSNBC wants their audience back, Joe must go.
