Fort Lee Lifts Lockdown After Female Soldier Shoots and Wounds Self

An unidentified female soldier shot herself today at Fort Lee, Virginia after causing a lockdown due to an “active shooter incident”, according to the Fort Lee website. The announcement was placed next to other leading stories about unique training on sex crimes and women’s equality day.

The army post of Fort Lee gave the “all clear” after an unidentified female Soldier with a gun turned the weapon on herself and shot herself one time inside the Combined Arms Support Command Headquarters. The wounded soldier was taken to Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center.

The post is not releasing her condition yet.
