Fox News Thinks Our Education System Has Failed and Proves It By Talking

Oh boy. Fox News is very upset about privacy rights and civil rights being granted to the Boston terror suspect. Hannity is “sick and tired” of this notion that he deserves his Miranda rights, because – FREEDUM.

While Hannity was busy arguing against freedom and civil rights, Fox News guest Katie Pavlich felt it was relevant to alert Fox viewers that the education system belongs to the left and it has failed. Also, immigration and welfare have failed.

Watch here for proof that our education system has failed via Media Matters (and try to contain your excitement that Fox News has finally proven one of their crazy theories):

Katie Pavlich, who can also be found sharing her wisdom on Townhall, explained why Glenn Beck’s chalkboard is really the height of intellectual purity, “On the welfare aspect of Governor Patrick shutting that down for, in the sake of privacy rights, I think everyone on welfare should be public information because we’re paying for it, especially when it comes to terrorists, and the reason why he’s doing this in the name of privacy isn’t because of privacy, it’s because the left is never willing to admit that all of these systems fail. Their systems fail, whether it’s the welfare system, the immigration system, the education system. Any of that has failed. When it comes to jihadists coming to this country, they will not admit that their system is failing.”

Yes, I must agree that our education system is failing the ubiquitous “some people”. (Sending a mirror to Fox, with congrats for finding another human who speaks Palinese.) But our system is not failing everyone, and we thank Katie for not only acknowledging, but proving, that education belongs to the left these days. We are sorry that “some people” got left behind, in spite of George W. Bush’s promise to the contrary.

Also, bonus points to Katie for conflating the immigration system with jihadists and the welfare system. I hope you all got the point. Immigrants are terrorists or might be, and therefore jihadists and so welfare should be shut down after we list the names of welfare recipients in the public square. Because shame and torture are too good for a jihadist and everyone is guilty until proven innocent, unless they are One of Us (see: “some people”).

Surely Fox News viewers don’t want their names broadcast to the world, given red state reliance upon federal government programs for the poor. But they probably know that Fox News only intends to out their political opposition and people of color, for the love of democracy and freedom.

Katie did impress me when she managed to make an argument for forcing corporations that take subsidies to be stripped of their privacy rights and outed in the public sphere. If we have a right to know who is on welfare, since we are paying for it, and corporations are people, it’s obvious that the next step is no privacy for corporations. When they pay for smear campaign via shady donations to a SuperPAC, their logo should be prominently displayed.

The clip ended with Hannity working himself into a snit over why we can’t force the suspect to talk. The suspect is already talking, but this is Fox News – torture is fun and the law is worthless, unless you’re avoiding getting waterboarded, even though you promised :

SCOTT KEYES: Before we get started I wanted to say one quick thing. Back in April 2009, you’d made a very generous offer. To prove that it’s not torture, you agreed on your television show to be waterboarded for charity and to donate the proceeds to the troops’ families.

HANNITY: I said Charles Grodin could do it.

KEYES: Now I know you’re an honorable guy Sean, when are you planning to hold the event?

HANNITY: You’re obviously taping this. I’m not getting into your five-year-old issue. Here I am bringing you on the program and give you an opportunity to give your pretty radical left-wing point of view, that’s kind of the way you treat me. But that’s all right.

KEYES: Sean, I’m just curious because you don’t think this is torture.

HANNITY: Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me. I get to ask the questions on the program.

See Hannity run!

Cut to: Hannity was outraged over this “notion” that suspect deserves his Miranda rights. Hello, tyranny, what took you so long? Can’t you see how our education system has failed?!
