Rush Limbaugh, Child Molester?

Last updated on February 8th, 2013 at 01:45 pm

Hey baby, so tell me your bra size.” “Are you shaved?” “What’s your favorite sexual position?” Are the usual sexual innuendo of the Howard Stern Show. A sexist, misogynist,  show now heard on Sirius/XM satellite, and spoken to women 18 years and older.

Meanwhile, on terrestrial radio via Media Matters:

LIMBAUGH: Let’s go to Katie, Island Park, Idaho. Glad you called, great to have you on the program. Hello.

CALLER: Hi, Rush. Yeah, my name is Katie, and I’m 14, and I’m not sure if I qualify to be a Rush baby or a Rush babe. What do you think?

LIMBAUGH: You’re 14?

CALLER: I’m 14.

LIMBAUGH: You’re four– you’re both. You are Rush baby and a Rush babe both. We’ll count you both.

CALLER: All righty.

LIMBAUGH: Have you signed up at our Facebook page?

CALLER: Yes, I just did this morning.

LIMBAUGH: Well, then you’re a Rush babe. That’s it.

CALLER: All righty.

LIMBAUGH: Fourteen. Well, thanks very much, Katie, I appreciate it.

CALLER: Thanks. Thanks, Rush.

LIMBAUGH: See, folks, this program has no boundaries. We have people from all three sexes, we have people from all religions, we have people from all genders, all demographics, all ages. A 14-year-old Rush babe. By the way, I’ve got audio sound bites coming up in the next hour. Fox News went to the NAGs’ protest. Wait till you hear it.

Never in my life have I heard a radio show host speak like this to a 14-year-old. Not even Stern would stoop this low. When Stern was on terrestrial radio, he spoke to children 17 years old and younger like the father he was/is. He never used perverted language talking to children, he never called a girl a babe nor did he go out to take calls unless there was a specific topic.

But beyond that, he would never call a 14-year-old girl a babe. And if he did, the right wing night job religious right as well as the progressive left would scream in protest of his sexist terminology. Yet the Christian right would want to censor him for speaking indecently of women, while Limbaugh’s comments don’t raise Cain?

Stern had scruples, and under-aged boys and girls were treated with kid gloves. Stern once said that he could not date a woman 18 years old, because his second child was 18 and it would be like dating his daughter. It’s just wrong.

But still, Limbaugh has the right to be a perverted child molester and his to take his Viagra excursion in the Dominican Republic, but hey, Limbaugh isn’t without scruples:

“Drug use, some might say, is destroying this country. And we have laws against selling drugs, pushing drugs, using drugs, importing drugs. … And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up,” Limbaugh said on his short-lived television show on Oct. 5, 1995.
