Yes, we’re doing this now. This being restating reality every five minutes as we chase Mitt Romney’s specious lies through the rabbit hole of his utter disinterest in the human race.
Mitt Romney is now, once again, taking credit for the auto industry bailout. Today in Michigan he claimed the bailout was his idea. Yes, he said let Detroit go bankrupt, and then after Obama saved the auto industry, Mitt tried to take credit for it and then he walked it back during the primaries and then he took credit for it and then he derided it again and now he’s back to taking credit for it. Flip flop flip flop flip flop flip flip…
The Obama campaign put out a quick video to remind voters of reality. I suppose you should share this with your friends and family who still lean stupid, lest our entire country be taken over by the starving Ryan budget and the real Hunger Games begin.
Seriously, Mitt Romney? Seriously?
Rmuse pointed out here last week:
This fantasy that the auto bailout was Romney’s idea is beyond lunacy in light of the intense criticism he leveled at the President just a couple of months ago when he said “the president tells us that without his intervention things in Detroit would be worse. I believe that without his intervention things there would be better.” In 2008, Romney said, “IF General Motors, Ford and Chrysler get the bailout that their chief executives asked for yesterday, you can kiss the American automotive industry goodbye,” and in 2012 he argued that “Obama should have let the free market work and allowed GM and Chrysler to go through a managed bankruptcy” which is what he now claims the President did with the bailout that is not remotely what a managed bankruptcy entails. A managed bankruptcy is more akin to a Chapter 11 bankruptcy that involves reorganization of a debtor’s business affairs and assets but it does not include a bailout by the government that Romney assailed as “crony capitalism on a grand scale.”
This is what can we expect from a man so devoid of character that he allowed a citizen to claim that the President of the United States should be on trial for treason and didn’t even have the guts to correct her. Willard Romney’s craven character makes the McCain Palin Hate Talk Express look sweet.
Yes, Republicans, the vulture capitalist would have saved GM and Chrysler because contrary to his history, he really loves to save jobs. It’s his top priority and he didn’t mean all of those awful things he said about Detroit and the workers.
In other news for Republican voters, the earth is round again today and gravity still works. We’ll keep y’all posted as reality “shifts”.
Meanwhile, North Carolina voted in their Trojan horse and now, all rights can be “voted” on, so we’ll have tyranny by the majority, sorta like we have in the House courtesy of the Tea Party “Constitutionalists” (aka; those who do not actually believe in the Constitution but think the fancy writing imparts gravitas). Look South, my friends, and ask yourselves, do we really want to live like that?
I am now going on record as saying that I would not vote for Mitt Romney even if he were running against Sarah Palin and there were no other choices.
Yes, it’s that bad.
