When you put Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann at the same rally it is only matter of time before the garbled logic and general wackiness ensues, and Sarah Palin delivered by saying the Party of No was a mistaken concept but, “what’s wrong with being the Party of No.” According to Sarah, Republicans aren’t the Party of No, but they are the Party of No.
Here is the video courtesy of Think Progress:
Palin started out with the standard endorsement for Bachmann, but then something went very, very wrong. Palin said, “When the left tries to push through policies that violate our consciences, and our values, and our Constitution, it’s Michele who is trying to get them to halt. Michele doesn’t just tell them no. She tells them H-E-L-L no. You know, here the Republicans have been getting criticized lately with this, this mistaken concept, I guess, sort of surrounding Republicans right now that they’re the Party of No. That we’re the Party of No. And we’re saying, ‘what’s wrong with being the Party of No when you consider what it is that Obama, Pelosi and Reid are trying to do to our country. So be it!”
According to Palin, the GOP is not the Party of No, except when it is the Party of No. This is the kind of applause line, catch phase, drivel that comes out a politician’s mouth when they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. This type of phraseology makes me long for the clarity of George W. Bush. W’s problem simply was that words were not his friends. Palin does not seem to understand what the words mean when they are all put together, like in sentences and paragraphs.
This overmatches fuzzy thinking cash machine is the best hope for the Republican Party in 2012. Think about that for a second. Sarah Palin can’t even clearly express her opinion on whether or not the GOP is the Party of No, or if being the Party of No is good thing, yet millions of ignorant and misguided souls have turned their hope and their wallets over to Sarah Palin and her ever growing wig collection. Make no mistake about it, Sarah Palin is not stupid. She is a shrewd self promoter, but this woman could lead a Girl Scout troop on cookie drive, much less the United States of America.
