On his radio show today Rush Limbaugh claimed that if Tiger Woods visited prostitutes, he fulfilled a Democratic requirement for election to high office. Limbaugh said, “This means that Tiger has now completed a resume requirement for election to high office as a Democrat…clearly this is Clintonesque.”
Here is the audio courtesy of Media Matters:
Limbaugh first read from the New York Daily News, “”One of his favorites was Loredana Jolie,” Michelle Braun told the Daily News, describing the gorgeous blond as a Playboy model from Sicily who’s been living in New York since age 14.”
“She’s a stunning girl,” Braun said. “He went out with her four or five times. She took part in group sex. They met up in 2006 or early 2007. I’d say he paid $15,000 for her.” Woods “had a pretty big appetite for women” added Braun, as the world famous athlete’s list of extramarital “transgressions” continues to grow.”
Limbaugh then added his own political spin, “Well now this means that Tiger has now completed a resume requirement for election to high office as a Democrat. You can do this in New York if you want to go the state level. Clearly this is Clintonesque, and Client Number Nine, Eliot Spitzer, who was the governor of New York.”
This could also be a resume requirement for election to high office as a Republican in Louisiana, like David Vitter, or it could a requirement for a Republican who wanted to be the senator from Illinois, like Jack Ryan, or if Rush wants to expand this discussion to include gay sex, same sex contact with a minor, there are Republicans Larry Craig and Mark Foley to add to the list.
As far as we know Bill Clinton never used prostitutes, and how does visiting a prostitute make Tiger Woods a Democrat, when most of the recent sex scandals have involved Republicans, like Mark Sanford, and John Ensign. Limbaugh’s point that Democrats are involved in more sex scandals is flat out untrue.
How does this discussion of Democrats even relate to Tiger Woods? This is just another lame attempt by Limbaugh to capitalize on the Tiger Woods scandal. Woods’ problems have nothing to do with politics, but that hasn’t stopped Limbaugh from using his name to push his agenda all week long.
