Bill O’Reilly Injects Himself into the Keith Olbermann Lou Dobbs Feud

Last updated on August 10th, 2014 at 05:12 pm

Tonight on his FNC show The O’Reilly Factor host Bill O’Reilly weighed in on the feud between Keith Olbermann and Lou Dobbs. O’Reilly ignored Dobbs’ attacks on Olbermann, while claiming that NBC and Olbermann were attacking Lou Dobbs’ family. Bill-O managed to weave this all into his vast NBC conspiracy theory too. Check out the video.

O’Reilly said, “Lou Dobbs has been covering that story a lot. We have told Mr. Dobbs that we think he is wrong to cover it, however he does have freedom of speech and if he wants to cover it, it is up to him. He was attacked along with his wife and children on NBC airwaves. His wife and children, brutally personally attacked, Lou Dobbs. How long do you think Jeffery Immelt, CEO of GE and Jeff Zucker, NBC boss, are going to allow this barbaric display under the NBC News banner? How long is that going to be?”

After conservative liberal media conspiracy theorist Bernie Goldberg proclaimed that the public will turn on NBC, O’Reilly said, “But it has already happened the MSNBC network is down the drain. It’s destroyed, but they still allow these attacks to happen…We respect Mr. Dobbs, whether you agree with him or not, when your family, your wife and children are attacked on NBC News airwaves, it doesn’t get any lower.”

Here is some examples “barbaric attack” that O’Reilly is talking about:

As you can see, Olbermann isn’t attacking Dobbs’ family. Interestingly, Olbermann first mentioned Dobbs’ family 2 years ago in December 2007 in a Worst Person in the World Segment, but there was no outrage then. Olbermann
was pointing out that Mrs. Dobbs was arrested for trying to carry a gun on to an airplane in Newark, NJ.

It is no surprise that O’Reilly would take Dobbs’ side. After all, Olbermann is his mortal enemy. It isn’t even a surprise that he would try to weave this into his vast NBC conspiracy theory. It goes to show just how out of touch he is though, when he proclaimed that MSNBC is down the drain. Um Bill, I think their growing ratings suggest otherwise, but maybe in your version of reality more viewers are a bad omen.

I will never cease to find it funny that good old Bill-O refuses to utter Keith Olbermann’s name on his show. Olbermann’s is the name that dare not be spoken on Fox News. Maybe O’Reilly was feeling left out because Olbermann was concentrating on another right winger that wasn’t him? Don’t worry Bill. I am sure that there is plenty of room for both you and Dobbs on his Worst Persons list.
