Wilbur Ross is under Commerce Department IG investigation for threatening to fire weather officials who disagreed with Trump’s fake weather forecast.
Ari Natter of Bloomberg tweeted:
Wicker, who chairs the Senate committee that oversees @CommerceGov and @NOAA, hinted committee action could be coming in the future.
“I expect interesting facts will come out and we will be instructed by that, guided by that."

The threat was reported by The New York Times, “The Secretary of Commerce threatened to fire top employees at the federal scientific agency responsible for weather forecasts last Friday after the agency’s Birmingham office contradicted President Trump’s claim that Hurricane Dorian might hit Alabama, according to three people familiar with the discussion.”
It would be ironic if what finally got the corrupt Ross booted out of the Trump administration was a defense of Trump fake and illegal Sharpie hurricane forecast.
Sen. Roger Wicker is a Republican, so if he is expecting hearings on the committee that he chairs, there are definitely going to be hearings. The biggest problem for Ross is going the IG investigation. The Inspector General is independent of the Commerce Department. It was an IG investigation that brought down former Trump EPA administrator Scott Pruitt.
Ross abused his power as Commerce Secretary if he threatened to fire top officials and scientists.
Wilbur Ross should never have been Commerce Secretary in the first place and is another of Trump Cabinet of Corruption who needs to be shown the door.
