Speaking at his tax reform roundtable in West Virginia, Donald Trump literally threw his prepared remarks away before launching into a xenophobic rant about that migrant caravan that only yesterday he was accusing of marching toward our border, intent on invasion.
Trump riffed: “I’m reading off the first paragraph, I said, ‘This is boring. Come on. We have to tell it like it is’”
Evidently, “telling it like it is” means spewing vile fiction like this about an innocent group of activists:
“Yesterday, it came out where this journey coming up, women are raped at levels that nobody has every seen before,” he spewed. “They don’t want to mention that.”
As if sending the National Guard to head off this caravan that never intended to breech our border in the in the first place, and only -annually, mind you- wants to raise awareness about the issues faced by Central American migrant workers and refugees wasn’t ridiculous enough.
As if his claim this morning that
The Caravan is largely broken up thanks to the strong immigration laws of Mexico and their willingness to use them so as not to cause a giant scene at our Border. Because of the Trump Administrations actions, Border crossings are at a still UNACCEPTABLE 46 year low. Stop drugs!

had any connection to reality, or resulted from anything he’s done or plans wasn’t unhinged enough.
As if further complaining that “If you have a baby on our land, congratulations! That baby is a United States citizen,” wasn’t insulting enough to this nation of immigrants.
As if this manchild embodied anything that a President of these United States stands for.
To borrow from Ozymandias: “Look on his works, ye Mighty, and despair!”
