Devin Nunes Is Running His Own Fake News Site Featuring Articles About How Great He Is

House Intelligence Committee chairman, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), is following in Trump’s footsteps by creating a fake news company that publishes articles about his greatness.

Politico reported:

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, a relentless critic of the media, has found a way around the often unflattering coverage of his role in the Trump-Russia investigation — by operating his own partisan news outlet.

Resembling a local, conservative news site, “The California Republican” is classified on Facebook as a “media/news company” and claims to deliver “the best of US, California, and Central Valley news, sports, and analysis.”

Devin Nunes has created a fake news company

Devin Nunes is trying to counter the truth about his cooperation with the White House in an effort to cover-up the Russia scandal by creating misleading propaganda outlet that is designed to fool readers into believing that it is a news company. Nunes has taken the Fox News model to a whole different place by disguising political candidate advertising as news.

It is easy for anyone to call themselves a news company on Facebook, which if Facebook was serious about eliminating fake news, one of the steps that they should take is requiring publishers to verify their legitimacy as an actual organization. Political campaigns should not be allowed to label themselves news organizations. Nunes is engaging in a blatant effort to mislead the public, which is both despicable and sad.

If Devin Nunes would behave like an honorable public servant, he would not need a fake news organization, but the fact that he can’t run on his own merits is exactly why Nunes has got to go.
