Trump Is Planning To Declare War On The Poor If Tax Cuts For The Rich Pass Congress

After cutting for the rich, Trump next move is going to be an executive order that will be nothing short of a declaration of war on poor people who depend on Medicaid, food stamps, and housing assistance.

Politico reported, “The Trump administration and Republicans in Congress are hoping to make the most sweeping changes to federal safety net programs in a generation, using legislation and executive actions to target recipients of food stamps, Medicaid and housing benefits. The White House is quietly preparing a sweeping executive order that would mandate a top-to-bottom review of the federal programs on which millions of poor Americans rely. And GOP lawmakers are in the early stages of crafting legislation that could make it more difficult to qualify for those programs.”

The Republicans are working at a breakneck pace to implement their agenda of making rich people richer and poor people poorer because they have two swords hanging over their heads. The first sword is the 2018 midterm election where it is looking more likely each day that Democrats will take back control of all or part of Congress. The second sword is the Russia investigation. When Special Counsel Mueller releases his report, it could plunge the country into a constitutional crisis that will grind the federal government to a halt.

The Trump ideology is based on the basic cruelty to those who are struggling that Republicans have been exhibiting since they took back the House in 2011.

Life is about to get even more difficult for Americans who depend on food stamps to be able to eat, Medicaid to see a doctor, and housing assistance to keep a roof over their head.

It will be a war on the poor, and now more than ever, our most vulnerable citizens need Democrats to step up in what will be a life or death struggle for millions of Americans.
