When Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) was told that Trump leaked classified intel to Russia the former maverick responded by weakly stating that the President has the right to leak intel to an enemy of America.
This was McCain’s response to the sort of news that should make any patriot’s blood boil:
McCain just saw WP: "We certainly don't want any president to leak classified information but the president does have the right to do that."

Sen. McCain’s response was pathetic. The President does not have the right to leak classified information to an enemy that wants to destroy US democracy. While technically, the President can declassify anything that he wants we have a term for people who leak classified information to America’s enemies. We call them traitors.
John McCain spent eight years criticizing Barack Obama’s foreign policy, but he thinks it is fine and dandy for Trump to give away US secrets to the Russians.
Somewhere between 2008 and 2017, Sen. McCain’s slogan went from “Country First” to “Party First.”
Republicans have sold out to Trump and Russia to get power, and even their beloved maverick has been exposed as a weak kneed fraud when confronted with the treason of Trump.
