Megyn Kelly Says Trump Only Goes on Hannity, So He Accuses Her of Supporting Clinton

On again, off again journalist Megyn Kelly took to Fox News’ The Kelly File to tell an uncomfortable truth probably not heard before by Fox News audiences: Donald Trump will only appear on Sean Hannity’s show “and will not venture out to the unsafe places these days.”

As was previously reported here, Trump, who claims he will save America, has been cowering in fear of reporters , at Fox News.

Mediaite called this “throwing shade” but it’s really just a fact, one revealed already to those inhabiting our shared reality. Watch courtesy of Media Matters for America:

Now they’re both in their own version of a presidential protection program, which you say they designed her situation so she is not in a place where she feels uncomfortable or is anything unexpected can come at her — which is why she sat for half an hour with Mary J. Blige, the singer, which is why she did Entertainment Tonight this evening, which is why we just found out that when she went on the Steve Harvey Show and she had every question given to her in writing in advance and she feigned surprise as the questions were asked. And Donald Trump, with all due respect to my friend at 10 o’clock, will go on Hannity and pretty much only Hannity, and will not venture out to the unsafe spaces these days, which doesn’t exactly expand the tent for either one of them. There that’s my two cents.

Because no facts should ever be uttered on Fox News, and Megyn Kelly had just revealed Trump’s cowardice to the inhabitants of the Fox News Bubble, Hannity shot back via Trump’s own favorite medium:

Hannity linked Mediaite but he probably didn’t read past the headline, or watch Kelly’s show, because if he had, he would have realized, as Mediaite put it,

“To be fair, it was more of a shot at Donald Trump in a segment where Kelly called out both him and Hillary Clinton for sticking with softball interviews instead of subjecting themselves to hard-hitting questions.”

Hannity may dislike reality as much as his hero, Donald Trump does, but Trump’s retreat is very real and Trump himself has even alluded to it, by blaming CNN.

A post VP Debate headline at CNN, “Pence denies Trump said things he said,” probably does nothing to embolden Trump, even with the campaign’s paid employee, Corey Lewandowski, there cheering him on.

Even with pundit Gloria Borger using CNN to say the bar for Trump at his second debate is even lower than at his first debate.

The fact is, as Kelly’s sign in the photo above reveals, the days are winding down and Donald Trump is cowering in fear of actual questions asked by actual journalists in favor of snuggling with his BFF, Sean Hannity.

Trump will go out and engage in his usual uninformed demagoguery and lecture residents on how to pronounce the name of their state and fill the gaps with invented “facts,” before retreating to his safe place, Fox News.

Kelly is right. By appearing only on Hannity, and by extension answering only safe questions, Donald Trump is not exactly expanding the tent. There is some irony hearing this from any conservative, Kelly included, but that doesn’t make it untrue.

Trump talks about how brave and strong he is, but he’s afraid of questions, including those asked by Megyn Kelly. By pointing out Trump’s withdrawal from the world, Kelly doesn’t make herself a supporter of Hillary Clinton. It just makes her a supporter of facts, facts neither Trump nor Hannity can handle.
