Bill Maher took the mocking of tea partiers to a whole new, and slightly frightening place, with his reading of tea party erotica.

Maher “read” from tea partier Jaxine Bubis’ book Beantown Heat, “He took off his Obama equals Hitler t-shirt revealing the chiseled six pack of a young Glenn Beck. He leaned over and whispered, I want to get you off…welfare. The seat of her Rascal scooter was wetter than John Boehner’s cheek after they play God Bless America. Who’s your daddy he demanded, and where’s your birth certificate. Unlike global warming, the passion she was feeling was undeniable. He was an Adonis. The body of Chris Christie, and a c**k that stiffer than Mitt Romney. And it was a tiny penis that let her know, oh yeah, a gun owner…”

It looks like Bill Maher found a new way to mock the tea party. There are actually a million reasons to ridicule the tea party, and they deserve each and every one of them. Because of the behavior of a few dozen tea party Republicans in the House, our government is paralyzed. It is interesting that tea partiers are the people who so hung up on protecting the family that they oppose abortion and same sex marriage, but they are also writing erotic novels.

Bill Maher is setting the bar really high when it comes to mocking the tea party. We’ve come a long way since the teabagger jokes of 2009 and 2010.

Despite the damage they are doing in the House, Democrats should in some ways be grateful for the tea party. Tea partiers are the reason why the Republican Party keeps losing meaningful elections. Tea partiers are the reason why every single Republican presidential candidate has to move to so far to the right that they become completely unelectable. The tea party is why Republicans keep losing Senate elections, and they are leading to the destruction of the Republican Party.

The tea party deserves our mocking and scorn, but most of all they deserve this really bad erotica.
